What is GitOrbit?

GitOrbit provides a suite of AI-powered tools to help you understand, navigate, and document any GitHub repository.

It's designed for developers, team leads, and anyone who needs to quickly get up to speed with a new codebase. All analysis happens securely in your browser.

Why use a GitHub PAT?

GitOrbit works without any authentication for public repositories. However, GitHub limits unauthenticated API requests to 60 per hour.

By providing a Personal Access Token (PAT), you increase this limit to 5,000 requests per hour, allowing you to analyze larger repositories without interruption.

Your token is stored securely in your browser's local storage and is never sent to any server other than GitHub's.
